The 10th International Conference of UNESCO Global Geoparks will be held in Marrakech from 4 to 9 September.
It's an opportunity for the 195 Geoparks in 48 countries to define the network's new strategic orientations, share best practices and exchange experiences. Once again, a wide range of presentations will provide an opportunity to learn more about each other's actions in a variety of areas: conservation and enhancement of geological heritage sites, geodiversity and biodiversity management, education and popularisation of science, sustainable tourism and local development, implementation of the UN's sustainable development goals, links with tangible and intangible cultural heritage, climate change, the fight against desertification and natural disasters, cooperation between Geoparks, budding Geoparks.
The Beaujolais Geopark will be represented at the event, and will be showcasing the travelling exhibition that has been set up in the region this year. A great opportunity to promote the Beaujolais region worldwide!
