Since its designation as a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2018, the Beaujolais Geopark has been highlighting the natural and historical treasures of a unique territory, whose landscapes tell the story of more than 500 million years of geological history. As the year draws to a close, the Geopark is being unveiled on the big screen in a brand new film.
On Thursday 5 December, to mark World Soil Day, Le Singuliers cinema in Belleville-en-Beaujolais hosted the premiere of the film ‘Le trésor du Beaujolais’. This short film, a life-size treasure hunt, takes viewers on a journey to the heart of the emblematic landscapes of the Beaujolais region.
Free screenings open to all
In addition to the Belleville-en-Beaujolais premiere, screenings took place in a number of cinemas across the region. After each screening, members of the public were able to chat with the Geopark team.
The 10-minute film is also available on the Beaujolais Geopark YouTube channel.
