Climate and geology conference

The Geopark is organising a series of lectures on the climate, with Gilles Escarguel, palaeontologist and teacher-researcher at the Laboratoire d'Ecologie des Hydrosystèmes Naturels et Anthropisés at Lyon 1 University:

- Saturday 16 September at 5.30pm at the Salle de l'Atelier in Villefranche-sur-Saône (109, rue des Jardiniers)
- Saturday 7 October at 5.30pm at the Théâtre in Beaujeu (Place de l'Hôtel de Ville)
- Saturday 14 October at 5.30pm at the Caveau du Théâtre in Tarare (5, Place Simonet)

This conference will look at the issue of climate change and the challenges we face, putting the issues into their geological context.

Ahead of the conference, on 16 September in Villefranche, from 2pm, visitors are invited to come and meet local players and associations, to gain a better understanding of the relationships that exist between the subsoil, the soil, crops and the climate, and to show what solutions can be put in place, each at his or her own level.
