The Beaujolais Geopark prepares to revalidate its UNESCO label

From 15 to 17 July 2025, the Beaujolais Geopark will be hosting an official UNESCO mission as part of the revalidation of its ‘Global Geopark’ label for the period 2026-2030.
Two international experts will be visiting the area, meeting local stakeholders and assessing the actions taken since the last validation, in particular those of the 2023-2026 Action Plan, which focuses on heritage enhancement, adaptation to climate change and international cooperation.
This visit follows rigorous preparation and marks a key moment for the future of the Geopark, which is reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development based on the richness of its landscapes and the involvement of its inhabitants.
The official response is expected in April 2026.
